About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the wine industry, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead their sales efforts in the prestigious Stellenbosch region. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing a team of sales representatives, and driving revenue growth for our client's premium wine portfolio. This role demands a deep understanding of the wine market, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and hospitality clients throughout the Western Cape .
You will be instrumental in shaping the brand's market presence and achieving ambitious sales objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and sales targets.
- Manage, mentor, and motivate the regional sales team to ensure high performance.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and wholesale partners.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
- Oversee the development and execution of promotional campaigns and tasting events.
- Ensure effective inventory management and distribution throughout the sales territory.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in sales management, preferably within the wine or beverage alcohol industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating sales teams.
- Deep knowledge of the wine market, including varietals, regions, and distribution channels.
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Stellenbosch area and surrounding regions.
