Social Worker, Crisis Counselor

Our client, a compassionate charitable organization serving the community of Stellenbosch and surrounding areas in the Western Cape , is looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Worker . This role involves providing essential support services to individuals and families facing various challenges, including poverty, abuse, and health issues. You will conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and connect clients with necessary resources to improve their well-being and resilience.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and support plans.
• Provide counseling and case management services to clients and their families.
• Connect clients with appropriate community resources, services, and agencies.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to essential services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.

• Registered Social Worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a social work setting.
• Strong knowledge of social welfare legislation and community resources in the Western Cape .
• Excellent assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.
• Proficiency in case management and record-keeping.
• Empathy, resilience, and a strong commitment to ethical practice in Stellenbosch .
