Social Integration Facilitator

About the Role Our client is seeking a proactive and empathetic Social Integration Facilitator for the Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA area. This hybrid role is designed to support individuals, particularly those from marginalized or vulnerable backgrounds, in integrating successfully into the community. You will work to break down barriers, foster social connections, and empower individuals to access resources and participate fully in community life.

Responsibilities include one-on-one support, group facilitation, and collaborative work with local organizations. The hybrid nature of this role allows for flexible working arrangements, combining essential in-person client interactions and community events with remote administrative tasks, planning, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a strong understanding of social inclusion principles. • Assessing the needs and challenges faced by individuals seeking social integration.
• Developing personalized integration plans and providing ongoing support.

• Providing advocacy and support for individuals navigating local systems and services.
• Collaborating with schools, employers, local government, and NGOs to create supportive pathways.
• Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback to clients and the management team.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential case notes and program documentation.
• Conducting research on community resources and best practices for social integration.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to program development, utilizing both in-person and remote communication channels.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Community Development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in social support, community work, or integration services.
• Proven experience in case management and developing support plans.
• Strong understanding of social inclusion, diversity, and intercultural communication.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in standard office software and comfortable with remote collaboration tools.
• Flexibility to adapt to a hybrid work schedule, including occasional evening or weekend work.
• A genuine commitment to empowering individuals and fostering community cohesion.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is an advantage.
