About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Software Engineer to contribute to their innovative AI & Emerging Technologies team in Stellenbosch. This role involves the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated AI-powered software solutions. You will work on challenging projects, translating complex algorithms into production-ready code and collaborating with a team of experts dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence. Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize AI algorithms and software components for various applications.
- Integrate machine learning models into existing software systems and new product developments.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with data scientists and researchers to implement and deploy AI solutions.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable AI systems.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion focused on AI/ML.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, and experience with AI libraries.
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch).
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies is a plus.
