Help build the app millions of South Africans rely on daily.

We're hiring now. Our Capitec App team is growing fast and we need Intermediate UX Engineers to join us.

You'll build and improve features on one of South Africa's most-used banking apps writing real code that reaches real people, every day.

• React and Type Script
• Component libraries and design systems (MUI / MUI X or similar)
• Git, CI/CD pipelines and collaborative code workflows
• AI-assisted development tools (used responsibly)

• Build and maintain modern, responsive front-end features
• Write clean, tested and well-documented code
• Take work from requirement through to deployment with a reasonable level of independence
• Join code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Work with designers, QA, product owners and fellow engineers to deliver quality at pace

• 2-5 years of front-end development experience (or demonstrated equivalent)
• Solid React and Type Script skills
• Experience with component libraries and design systems
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews and software delivery processes
• Familiarity with Figma dev mode

Bonus if you have:

• MUI / MUI X experience
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture or Module Federation
• Experience with Figma handoffs or accessibility principles
• A working knowledge of UX best practices and how they shape front-end decisions

You don't need to define architecture or solve every hard problem alone. You do need the maturity to know when to push forward and when to ask.
