Logistics Coordinator

A position for a Logistics Coordinator in Stellenbosch area, has become available. You will be responsible for managing daily transport operations for clients in fruit and related industries, coordinating transporters and maintaining system data.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Logistics qualification beneficial
• Relevant industry experience (fruit & related)
• Able to work remotely after hours / weekends, when needed
• Relevant experience of managing vehicles/clients in the Western Cape will be beneficial
• Minimum 5 years in logistics / transport (required)
• Operational coordination experience (beneficial)
• Experience Datatim, Power BI, MS Office

Responsibilities:

Operational

• Capture loads on Datatim / TMS
• Issue load confirmations & booking of offloading slots
• Ensure valid permits for vehicles

Managing Transporters

• Sourcing of vehicles from transporters
• Monitor transporter revenue & CPK
• Reduce stand-overs

Administration

• Documentation, invoice queries
• Claims processes
• Support Operational Manager
• Responsible for valid GIT for transporters

Client Liaison

• Deal with daily orders
• Planned loads confirmation
• Communicate ETA’s, vehicle details, load information
• Contacting clients
