Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a progressive and expanding fruit export and marketing company, seeks to employ a Logistics Coordinator to join this dynamic and professional team.

Candidates from the fruit and fresh produce export or FMCG logistics sector will receive preference.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

• You will have a tertiary qualification in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination within the fruit export, fresh produce or related export industry, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
• A strong working knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, export processes, vessel bookings and shipping documentation.
• You will have experience in stock management, stock reconciliation, forecasting, load planning and coordinating the movement of fruit between cold stores and other storage locations.
• You will have experience coordinating with cold stores, packhouses, transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines and other internal and external stakeholders.
• You will have a strong understanding of export documentation, shipping deadlines, container tracking, ETD and ETA management, stack dates and vessel schedules
• You will have experience ensuring compliance with destination market requirements, quality standards, inspections, labelling requirements and import permits.
• You will have strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing stock records, logistics documentation and shipment information.
• You will have strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage logistical disruptions, changing priorities and time-sensitive export deadlines.
• You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
