Driver - Wine & Produce Transport

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and careful Driver to manage the transport of wine and fresh produce in the picturesque region of Stellenbosch. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that delicate and time-sensitive goods are delivered safely and efficiently to wineries, distributors, and local markets. This position requires a driver who understands the specific handling requirements for such products and possesses excellent navigation skills within the Winelands.

• Operate a light commercial vehicle for the collection and delivery of wine and produce.
• Ensure proper handling and temperature control, where applicable, for sensitive goods.
• Plan daily routes effectively throughout the Stellenbosch and surrounding wine-producing areas.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and the dispatch team.
• Accurately record delivery details and manage any required paperwork.

• Valid driver's license, preferably Code 10 , with a valid PDP.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably with experience in food or beverage logistics.
• Familiarity with the Stellenbosch and Winelands road network.
• Ability to handle fragile items with care and attention.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
