Lead Air Traffic Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced and authoritative Lead Air Traffic Controller to manage and oversee air traffic operations at a busy regional airport in Stellenbosch . This senior role involves guiding a team of air traffic controllers, ensuring the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic. You will be responsible for implementing operational procedures, maintaining high standards of performance, and ensuring compliance with all national and international aviation regulations.

• Supervise and mentor a team of air traffic controllers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Manage the safe and efficient flow of aircraft within the assigned airspace, adhering strictly to established procedures and protocols.
• Coordinate with pilots, ground operations, and other relevant agencies to ensure seamless air traffic management.
• Monitor weather conditions and potential hazards, adjusting traffic flow as necessary to maintain safety.
• Implement and enforce all air traffic control regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Participate in incident investigations and contribute to the development of preventive measures to enhance safety.

• Valid Air Traffic Controller License with appropriate ratings and endorsements.
• Significant experience as an Air Traffic Controller , with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
