Local Delivery Driver - Valued Customer Service

Our client, a respected provider of local goods delivery services in Paarl , is seeking dedicated Local Delivery Drivers with a strong emphasis on customer service. This role is vital for ensuring that our clients' customers receive their orders promptly, accurately, and with a positive interaction. You will be the face of the company in the community, operating a designated delivery vehicle and managing a schedule of deliveries throughout the Paarl area and surrounding towns.

The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent driving skills, and understands the importance of building customer trust through professional conduct and efficient service delivery.

• Operate a delivery vehicle safely and responsibly within designated local routes.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled carefully and transported securely.
• Confirm delivery details, obtain customer signatures, and manage any required payment collections.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and promptly report any discrepancies or issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns courteously.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and report any maintenance needs to the operations manager.

• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver's license with a professional driving permit (PDP).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a delivery driver role.
• Familiarity with the road networks in and around Paarl .
• A clean driving record and a commitment to safe driving practices.
• Good physical condition to handle the loading and unloading of goods.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
