Store Manager, Stocking

Warehouse Store Manager job vacancy in Stellenbosch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and record raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and other stock.
• Store and organise stock correctly while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Apply FIFO and FEFO principles and monitor stock expiry dates.
• Pick and issue materials to production according to authorised requests and schedules.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate stock discrepancies or variances.
• Load, unload, and move goods safely within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate receiving, issuing, transfer, and stock movement documentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, GMP, hygiene, and allergen-control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Report damaged goods, contamination risks, shortages, and other stock-related concerns.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse, stores, logistics, or food manufacturing experience advantageous.
• Basic computer and stock-control skills.
• Good understanding of inventory control and FIFO/FEFO principles.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Ability to accurately complete stock and warehouse documentation.
• Forklift licence and experience advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to perform lifting and manual handling duties.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, responsible, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends, or shifts when required.
