About the Role
Our client, a key player in the FMCG supply chain, is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to manage their operations in Stellenbosch . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of inventory, from receiving to dispatch. You will lead a team of warehouse personnel, oversee daily operations, and implement best practices to optimize warehouse performance and safety.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems and procedures, crucial for maintaining the flow of goods in the Western Cape region.
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and dispatching.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and ensuring productivity targets are met.
- Ensure the accurate management of inventory levels and conduct regular stock takes.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate and manage warehouse equipment effectively and efficiently.
- Liaise with transportation and logistics departments to coordinate timely deliveries and pickups.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role, preferably within the FMCG or logistics sector.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related software.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
