Head of Student Services

Position: Head of Student Services at NLSchools
Lead the Student Services Department at NLSchools in Stephenville, Newfoundland. This full-time position focuses on student success through collaborative approaches and special education strategies.

As the Student Services Department Head, you will be a key member of the leadership team dedicated to fostering an inclusive and safe learning environment. Your leadership will guide teachers and assistants towards effective programming and service delivery, ensuring that every student’s needs are met. It’s essential to demonstrate prior teaching experience and a commitment to a “students first” philosophy while collaborating with school staff and administrators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direction for student services and special education initiatives

• Collaborate with staff to enhance student programming and scheduling

• Assist in developing annual staffing plans for education services

• Coordinate professional development programs for the department

• Advise school administrators on initiatives for student success

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education and Special Education

• Level IV NL Teaching Certificate or higher

• Minimum five years teaching experience

• Proven leadership experience in education

• Strong understanding of special education foundations
