Electrical Distribution Designer in Alberta

Advance your career as an Electrical Distribution Designer specializing in technical design for electrical projects across Alberta. This role is central to ensuring project compliance and client satisfaction.

Reporting to the Manager – Contract Design, you will take responsibility for planning and executing detailed designs for both overhead and underground distribution systems. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as you coordinate with clients, landowners, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project execution.

Your role will also involve drafting construction prints tailored to customer specifications and managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect information for informed design decisions

• Create accurate alignment and easement plans

• Perform overhead and underground design modelling

• Manage the drafting of construction documentation

• Submit necessary packages for permitting and approvals

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree or Technologist Diploma essential

• Experience with electrical utilities preferred

• Familiarity with Alberta's distribution standards critical

• Proficient in AutoCAD and other design tools

• Class 5 driver’s license required
