Position: Transportation Analyst Job Opening in the Stephenville, Texas Area

A market-leading entity is scouting for a visionary Senior Transportation Analyst to helm their data collection, analysis, and reporting initiatives in the transportation realm. This pivotal role will require the candidate to conceptualize data collection frameworks, parse intricate data, and devise actionable insights that can substantially inform cost-reduction and strategy optimization endeavors.

Additionally, this position will champion the e-tools based purchasing functions and guide the procurement of transportation services, ensuring optimal price management and carrier selection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead data collection undertakings, and model distinct sourcing strategies premised on this data; playing a central role in RFP activities and the realization of contracts.
  • Oversee transportation RFP events, encompassing RFP establishment, carrier dialogue, and business unit-centric analysis.
  • Cultivate and update reports pinpointing business unit and carrier adherence to bid events, spotlighting areas for maximal savings exploitation.
  • Back category managers in assimilating and disseminating market intelligence related to truckload metrics.
  • Conceive and sustain monthly KPI reports for transportation categories, amalgamating data from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preserve transportation contracts, ensuring standardized reporting, and constructing carrier-centric scorecards.
  • Proactively identify avenues for operational improvement and nurture processes designed to empower category managers.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A B.S. in industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain, business, or associated domains; an M.B.A. would be a distinct advantage.
  • An experience-rich background of 3-5 years in supply chain or related sectors, with a predominant focus on analysis and process creation. Prior experience in the transportation sector, especially with a tilt towards construction building products, will be preferred.
  • Acumen in making data-powered decisions, while aligning them with overarching strategies.
  • Mastery over tools like Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Access, and Tableau. Proficiency in Manhattan Assoc. TMS, SAP ERP, and VBA will be an advantage.
  • Stellar communication credentials and presentation prowess.
  • Openness to travel up to 10% of the time, supporting projects and enhancing supplier relations.
  • Familiarity with operating within a matrix-style organization is seen as beneficial.
