The Retail Sales Associate assists Ollie's customers and helps maintain the store appearance. Responsibilities include all aspects of customer service, operating registers, merchandising, and store maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer at entrance, exit, and front end.
• Accurately and efficiently operate the register.
• Know all promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and assist sales; support donation programs throughout the year.
• Maintain a neat and organized front‑end work area.
• Assist with receiving trucks, pricing items, merchandising products, and restoring the store.
• Communicate customer needs to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain overall store cleanliness.
• Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays regularly.
• Effective communication skills.
• Confidentiality preservation.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organize and prioritize tasks and meet strict time frames and deadlines.
• Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to interact well with customers and associates.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
