Responsibilities for Controls Software Designer (Direct Hire)
Creating and commissioning industrial controls systems, PLC software design, and HMI screens. Responsible for PLC/HMI code development, code installation, debug on job site, and commissioning of the complete system. Responsible for controls systems design, programming, testing, and troubleshooting. Will work with cross functional teams to solve equipment and customer issues. Debug and commission 840D controls system in motion control application. Cell debug on shop floor and during install full time at customer location.
Must be willing to travel. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- XXXX+ years of Controls Engineering/PLC/HMI programming experience
- The ability to program/write code/ladder logic from scratch
- Prior experience with automotive manufacturing integration and commissioning
- Prior experience programming within customer-defined standards and templates
- Proficient with a variety of field bus networks including but not limited to Ethernet I/P, Profibus, Profi Net, etc. a plus.

- Engineering Degree not required.
- Driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to effectively manage time.
- Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently without much supervision.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
