  • Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and directing the pharmacy team to follow all safety guardrails.
  • Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, coaching the pharmacy team to do the same, collaborating with the patient’s overall health care team, and proactively resolving insurance or medication issues.
  • Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory in all pharmacies worked, guiding the pharmacy team to follow best practices, with a special focus on protecting cold chain products.

  • Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills as the industry evolves (including company‑required trainings and CMEs); actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients.
  • Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services (e.g., COVID/Flu, hormonal contraception) where permissible; empower the pharmacy team to provide holistic care.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with CVS Health policies and procedures to support patient safety and protect patient privacy and security, maintaining a safe and inclusive workplace for colleagues.
