Duties
  • Perform cytology testing and analysis on patient samples
  • Prepare and stain slides for microscopic examination - Identify abnormal cells and provide accurate diagnoses - Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results
  • Maintain accurate records of tests performed and results obtained
  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and quality control procedures
  • Stay updated on advancements in cytology techniques and technologies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field
  • Certification as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
  • Experience working in a clinical or research laboratory setting
  • Proficiency in DNA isolation, ELISA, and other relevant laboratory techniques
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique and proper handling of biological samples
  • Ability to accurately interpret microscopic images and identify abnormal cells
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills Note :
    Phlebotomy skills, CT scan interpretation, vital signs monitoring, and laboratory management experience are not required for this position.
