Job Responsibilities- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Six months to one year of production experience in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment required. Strong knowledge of Flexplate processes mandatory. Must be able to pass the Tool & Die aptitude testing at Macomb Community College. Must have own tools or be able to purchase own tools.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent attendance and performance record. Ability to exercise initiative, common sense and maintain effective internal and external working relationships. Highly organized, self-starter with a positive attitude. Flexibility to work extra hours and different shifts.
- Must have technical math skills (grade 12 level) and possess a good mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of SPC Level
1. Demonstrated ability to travel outside Canada to customer sites if required.
Physically capable of performing all required job duties in a production environment. Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, listen, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regularly able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes moving mechanical parts, possible fumes, vibration, and a moderate to loud noise level.

- Must be able to obtain Hi-lo and Crane permits.
- Language:
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical procedures and regulations; ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English. - Mathematical:
Working knowledge of probability, statistics and geometry/trigonometry; ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. - Reasoning & Computer:
Ability to solve practical problems and use basic software including Microsoft Office, manufacturing software, and Autocad.
