MIG & TIG Welder

7:00am – 3:30pm, M-F
40-45 Hours Per Week (OT based on workload)

• Perform both MIG and TIG welding.
• Set-up and layout jobs using blueprints, diagrams and fixtures following welding procedures to weld in all positions including the use of rotary turntables for manual welding.
• Inspects, maintains and logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for welding and fabricating.
• Sets up machines according to work instructions to trim, size, form, inspect material to meet fabrication drawing requirements.
• Tack welding, fabrication of shop aids and fixtures to assist fabrication and welding
• Visual weld inspection using fillet weld gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges and final weld fixtures.

• 5 or more years of TIG and MIG welding experience in non-production setting.
• Proficient with a variety of materials including steel, stainless, invar, and aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use precision measurement instruments
• Welding Certifications would be a plus.
• Must have own tools, rolling toolbox and PPE.
