Optalis Health Sterling Heights is seeking bright, dynamic leaders who have a passion for service and a commitment to excellence. Our team of caring professionals work together to make residents feel at home in our communities. We are looking for LPNs to join our Night Shift team. A LPN role includes evaluating assigned patients, coordinating with CNAs in daily care, maintaining patient comfort and safety, and following all departmental policies, procedures, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. An LPN adheres to the facility’s Core Values and mission with complete regard for the dignity of each person.

Licensed Practical Nurse Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing great patient care
  • Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
  • Administering medications and other treatments
  • Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Promoting patient independence by establishing, implementing, and directing care goals
  • Resolving patient concerns and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
  • Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care (e.g., open wounds, bruises, or abnormal findings)
  • Staying up to date on nursing training, education, and facility policy and procedure
  • Other duties as assigned

Education &

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of approved Licensed Practical Nurse program
  • Active state LPN license
  • Comfortable using a computer
