As an Advanced Practice Provider in the Emergency Department, you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care to patients across the lifespan.
Working as part of a collaborative team that includes physicians, nurses, EMS personnel, respiratory therapists, technicians, and support staff, you'll help provide timely evaluation, treatment, stabilization, and disposition of patients with urgent and emergent healthcare needs.
What You'll Do Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, interpret diagnostic studies, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Order, perform, and interpret laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic testing within the scope of practice.
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations, credentialing privileges, and organizational policies.
Perform procedures consistent with training, competency, and credentialing privileges.
Collaborate with Emergency Department physicians and interdisciplinary team members to provide efficient, high-quality emergency care.
Facilitate appropriate admissions, transfers, discharges, specialty referrals, and follow-up care.
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record.
Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety goals, emergency preparedness activities, and departmental performance objectives.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Missouri.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment-planning skills.
Ability to rapidly evaluate, prioritize, and manage multiple patient care needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment.
Preferred Qualities Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Acute Care experience.
Experience managing patients across all age groups.
Procedure experience consistent with Emergency Department practice.
Trauma, critical care, or emergency response experience.
Experience working within a collaborative physician-led emergency medicine team.

Computer and documentation activities throughout the workday.
Education, Certifications & Licensure Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current Missouri Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure required.
National certification appropriate to specialty and licensure type required.
Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
