We are seeking a Software Integration Engineer with experience in real-time embedded software integration
. The selected candidate will integrate and test software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and hardware components within combat vehicle systems. Responsibilities include software and hardware integration, scripting, networking, cybersecurity hardening, troubleshooting, and software verification testing. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and vehicle test teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with customer and system requirements.
Required
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) software integration and testing
- Software and hardware integration testbed development and maintenance
- Ethernet and CAN bus protocols
- Git, Git Lab, and Jira configuration management tools
- Troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving
- Technical documentation and verbal/written communication
- Software verification and testing
- Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time software
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Python, Bash, or Power Shell scripting
- C/C++ programming
- VxWorks or other RTOS platforms
- MIL-STD-1553 and military/commercial design standards
- Cybersecurity tools such as Nessus and Coverity
- System hardening and STIG rules
- DOORS, UML modeling, and CMMI
- Qt Framework and QML
- Ethernet-based protocols: SSL/TLS, SSH, and SFTP
- Virtual machine configuration and management
- NI Test Stand
- Relevant internship experience
- Experience integrating software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Understanding of software packaging, including RPMs, binary executables, drivers, shared objects, and static libraries
- Approximately 1 year of relevant experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- Preferred fields:
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
