Nightwing is seeking an experienced and cleared Senior Signals Intelligence Officer (SIO) in the Northern Virginia area. This position requires work in a secure, mission-focused operations environment. Rotating shift work may include nights, weekends, holidays, and surge support based on mission requirements. This position may require travel as determined by the Customer.

The Senior Signals Intelligence Officer leads the technical execution of SIGINT collection operations supporting high-priority national security missions. Serving as the technical authority on collection equipment and tradecraft within a multi-disciplinary 24/7 operations center, this role plans and executes multi-mode SIGINT and electronic warfare collection, triages time-sensitive signals for exploitation, and fuses collection results with other intelligence to produce actionable reporting for analysts, targeting officers, and mission partners.

The successful candidate will bring deep hands‑on SIGINT experience on ground or airborne platforms, a strong grasp of RF and wireless communications technologies, and the judgment to make technical and operational decisions under pressure. This role requires the ability to manage taskings across organizations, liaise with military and Intelligence Community counterparts, and communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Serve as the technical lead for SIGINT collection operations in a multi-disciplinary 24/7 intelligence operations center.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute multi-mode SIGINT and electronic warfare collection operations supporting tactical and strategic missions.
• Operate, configure, and maintain customer SIGINT collection equipment on ground or airborne platforms, and support integration of collection payloads onto customer platforms.
• Perform real-time triage of collected signals and prioritize time-sensitive material for exploitation.
• Research, analyze, and fuse SIGINT data with geospatial and other intelligence sources to produce actionable reporting.
• Disseminate collection results and technical assessments to mission partners, analysts, and targeting officers.
• Manage taskings and maintain information flow across multiple organizations, serving as liaison to military and Intelligence Community elements.
• Apply knowledge of national intelligence priorities and collection management processes to recommend collection strategies and resource allocation.
• Diagnose equipment and collection problems in real time and recommend technical improvements to systems and procedures.
• Ensure collected data is handled, secured, and manipulated in accordance with customer policy.
• Brief leadership and prepare written summaries, shift turnover materials, and technical documentation.
• Mentor junior SIOs, support customer‑specific and on-the-job training, and sustain team operational readiness.
• Support domestic and international travel, exercises, or short‑duration deployments as required.
• Perform other technical or operational support duties as assigned.
