As the Administrative Assistant, you will coordinate communications/projects, maintain calendars, analyze data, etc. We are looking for someone with computer knowledge who is able to multitask and work independently.
** The schedule is Part-Time working Monday-Friday anywhere from 4-8 hours, depending on the needs of the facility. 20 hours per week expected.
** Since 1938, Sterling Regional Med Center has been the center of healthcare excellence in Northeast Colorado providing care for more than 20,000 members in Logan County, and over 50,000 people in its larger market. Sterling Regional Med Center is licensed for 25 beds with both Medical/Surgical and Intensive Care Units, as well as full Women and Infant Services. For obstetrics, Sterling utilizes a computerized intelligent OB program designed to reduce the chance of complications during labor.

As a level III trauma designated hospital, Sterling has 24/7 coverage for Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Imaging, Family Medicine/Peds, and Rehabilitation. Sterling boasts cutting edge technology facilitating telehealth access for sub-specialty and tertiary services and state-of-the-art equipment in Imaging, Laboratory, Operating Suites, Emergency Department, and Inpatient Units. The hospital continues to invest facility upgrades and new equipment.

Attached to the hospital is the David Walsh Cancer Center, which provides both Medical and Radiation Oncology, with a beautiful infusion center and new linear accelerator. Sterling Regional is the only rural hospital in Colorado with a linear accelerator. In addition, Sterling Regional Med Center is closely integrated with our Family Medicine and Surgical Specialty Clinics and the hospital and clinics are part of a 2-year, rural training track residency program affiliated with the University of Northern Colorado.

Lastly, Sterling Regional Med Center is one of Logan County's largest employers with approximately 300 employees and more than 20 physicians representing ten specialties and has been voted Best Employer in Northeastern Colorado for three years in a row.

POSITION SUMMARY  This position supports senior leadership team members by providing clerical and administrative services and assistance, of moderate complexity, requiring the use of judgment and discretion on a periodic basis.
CORE FUNCTIONS  
1. Handles a wide variety of situations and conflicts involving the clerical and administrative function of the office, which often can not be brought to the attention of the executive. This includes summarizing the content of incoming materials, specially gathered information, or meetings to assist their supervisor; coordinating the new information with background office sources; and drawing attention to important aspects or conflict.
2. Interprets request and helps implement action, as well as decides whether the executive should be notified of important or emergency matters, as needed. In the absence of their supervisor, ensures that requests for action or information are relayed to the appropriate staff member.
3. Coordinates, handles, and/or completes recurring projects or one-time projects, as directed by supervisor.
4. Screens telephone calls and visitors, ascertaining who can be redirected to subordinate management. Provides information to callers, including key internal or external sources, which requires comprehensive knowledge of organization policies, practices and operations.
5. Maintains supervisor's calendar, regularly arranging meetings, conferences, and appointments without clearance. Arranges hotel and travel accommodations for frequent, extended trips.
6. Prepares special or one time reports, presentation materials, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources. May assist in the research, analysis and interpretation of data under the direction of management.
7. Performs a broad range of administrative support details on a regular basis, requiring initiative and judgment to make independent decisions for which probable errors may have moderate effect on cost impacts on…
