Phlebotomist – STI

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work at a facility in Sterling, CO. These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate: $28 / hour

Employment Type: W2, open to part and full time

• At least one year (12 months) of experience in Phlebotomy
• Must have up-to-date credentials in the state of CO
• Valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Familiarity with medical terminology

• Collect and store blood samples from patients
• Distribute samples to designated departments
• Monitor storage and inventory of supplies
• Maintain a clean and healthy work environment
• Adhere to laboratory safety policies and procedures
• Practice proper patient identification
• Label vials with patient names and dates
• Decide the best method for drawing blood based on each patient
• Work with patients of varying ages and health statuses
• Be friendly, courteous, and sympathetic when interacting with patients
• Keep the phlebotomy cart or station well organized
• Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment
