Description of JobThis position provides programmatic and administrative supervision of the Substance Use Disorder staff at the Therapeutic Community and the outpatient treatment program. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing therapeutic community treatment programs, providing assessment and treatment services, and supervising Substance Use Disorder counselors.
Responsibilities- Administrative supervision: approve sick and vacation leave requests, complete performance management documentation, determine staff schedules, and other administrative duties.
- Clinical supervision: develop treatment plans, conduct case conceptualization, facilitate group and individual interventions, maintain clinical supervision records, and other clinical duties.
- Coordinate with outpatient treatment staff in service delivery.
- Coordinate data entry activities of assessment and treatment staff at the Therapeutic Community.
- Conduct and supervise data reporting and quality assurance activities to assure service quality and compliance with Department policies.
- Provide summary reports to Substance Use Disorder Services and Quality Assurance Officer.
- Develop standardized curriculum format and core policies for Therapeutic Communities within CDOC.
- Provide group and individual therapy to inmates assigned to the therapeutic community.
- Assist outpatient treatment staff in delivering services.
- Document quality/compliance indicators, generate reports, and present feedback to program and administrative staff.
- Collect and evaluate performance data, identify improvement areas, and provide recommendations and technical assistance to the facility.
- Work closely with the Health Services Administrator and Mental Health Supervisor to ensure appropriate level of care.
- Assist in total quality improvement processes within Clinical Services Behavioral Health programs.
- Attend monthly meetings.
- Prepare therapeutic community presentations to engage all program providers.
- Participate with researchers, the Quality Assurance Officer, and data management staff in process and outcome evaluation research.
- Provide training on inmate treatment, assessment review, individual treatment plans, and data reporting for the electronic system.
- Coordinate and direct the assessment and referral process for offenders assigned to the therapeutic community program.

- Current, valid Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) credential issued by the Colorado State Board of Addiction Counselor Examiners.
- Two (2) years of licensed or license candidacy experience with valid licensure from the State of Colorado, including experience with mental health and/or sex offender populations.
