Customer Service Rep
Part‑time role, typically 30 hours a week, eligible for BMO’s comprehensive benefits package.
OverviewDelivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and through various channels with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.
Responsibilities- Collaborates with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow the customer’s relationship beyond personal banking.
- Welcomes and guides customers as they enter the branch lobby and offers advice on available digital and self‑serve options.
- Assists in conducting client conversations about banking services, recommending alternative channels and providing personal banking and investment advice.
- Meets customer transaction‑based needs with seamless execution.
- Reviews customer profiles and engages in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities for everyday banking, credit card needs, and investment solutions.
- Contributes to meeting branch business results and enhancing the customer experience.
- Supports operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, follow‑up on customer applications, filing, and opening/closing activities.
- Acts as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team.
- Integrates marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice.
- Organizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Takes initiative to create personalized customer experiences.
- Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Canada only:
Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (within 12 months). - Confident and experienced with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
- Some experience in consultative customer service or sales; drive to deliver personal customer experience.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
- Passionate commitment to helping customers.
Salary: $41,714.00 – $49,000.00 (annual, salaried). For part‑time roles, the salary will be pro‑rated based on hours regularly worked. Commission may be included for commission‑eligible positions.
