If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Bilingual Financial Service Rep I. We need a dynamic, goal oriented person who likes meeting people and developing relationships, to help grow our branch in Sterling, IL.

You will play a crucial role in our lending operations. You will be responsible for providing financial assistance, deposit and consumer loan services in a courteous and professional manner while providing prompt, efficient and accurate member service. Responsible for helping members navigate the loan application, approval and closing process. This will include recommending personal loan options to members and explaining their terms, determining risks for loaning to members based on their credit, and accurately processing paperwork.

THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

• Perform routine member transactions including, but not limited to, account inquiries & updates, transfers; check withdrawals, stop payments, request for check and statement copies, and general information.
• Independently complete opening and closing of membership accounts including but not limited to lending and deposit account transactions (i.e. Consumer loans, deposit accounts including Money Markets) ensuring every detail is managed with precision.
• Reviewing applications for accuracy and determining debt ratio, income, credit checks, any collateral and/or other requirements to assist member in obtaining a loan, and collect all CIPs required.
• You will prepare loan applications for underwriters, liaising effectively to ensure smooth approvals.
• Actively look for opportunities to cross‑sell CCU technology & services (i.e. EARS, CCU website, Debit Card, Mobile capture, CU Branch, CU Bill Pay, GAP, Credit Life & Disability, etc)
• Respond to inquiries made by members via telephone, in person or email in a timely, friendly and professional manner in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to assist members with loan inquiries, loan applications, loan balance/payoffs, quote NADA values, quote Auto Care premiums.
• Redeem US Savings Bonds and direct members to online purchases of US Savings Bonds.
• Engage with your dynamic team and manager to ensure lending goals are met each month, while actively assisting in building our membership base.
• Remain aware of, understand and comply with regulatory and compliance issues for consumer loans and deposit accounts.
• Maintain professional appearance.

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.

• Two years or more in a financial institution with previous consumer lending & deposit account experience is required.
• NMLS registration is a plus.
• Sales experience is a plus.

• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required.
• Must be service‑minded and team oriented.
• Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
• Requires effective member relation/cross selling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Meet new accounts goal monthly.
• Meet Credit Disability monthly goal on eligible loans.
• Meet Credit Life monthly goal on eligible loans.
• Meet goal on Mechanical Repair Coverage Policies sold monthly.
• Meet goal on GAP Policies sold monthly.
• Meet minimum monthly loan volume goal.

• Pay rate $23/hr-$28.00/hr, commensurate with experience.
