The Citadel of Sterling is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. As an LPN, you will care for residents, conduct assessments, implement care plans, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

$30.00/hr - $35.00/hr

• Provide licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physicians and in accordance with facility, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Conduct resident assessments and observations, review care plans to ensure appropriate care.
• Take and record residents’ blood pressure and vital signs, administer catheter care, IV therapy within license limitations, and respiratory care (e.g., oxygen, nebulizer treatments).
• Document nurse’s notes in an informative, descriptive manner reflecting care provided and resident responses.
• Ensure residents’ environment is free from accidents and hazards, addressing safety risks promptly.
• Monitor and direct non‑licensed ancillary services to maintain high levels of resident care.
• Communicate and report information to residents, families, physicians, guardians, governmental agencies, and facility personnel as required.
• Ensure all aspects of resident care plans are implemented and maintained, making recommendations for changes to the IDT per professional standards.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards, correcting non‑compliance immediately.
• Adhere to company policies regarding HIPAA compliance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to multi‑task and remain calm under stress.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding and adherence to infection control standards, policies, and procedures.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including occasional overnight travel.
• Positive, effective interaction with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and facility staff.

• Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
• Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Long‑term care experience preferred.

• Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, sit extended periods, grasp, and coordinate fine hand movements; use of mechanical devices accepted if needed.
• Limited exposure to environmental hazards; understanding and adherence to company safety standards required.
