Job SummaryThe Ramp Agent's responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading cargo (mail, express, freight, company material) on and off aircraft.
- Transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft.
- Performing ramp transfers and handling freight and company materials.
- Completing necessary forms and messages related to cargo operations.
- Assisting with loading/unloading drums, push-out/two aircraft functions, and connecting/removing ground support units.
- Maintaining work areas, ramps, and facilities, including cleaning and security monitoring.
- Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure.
- Load and unload cargo on and off aircraft safely.
- Operate ground support equipment such as belt loaders, tugs, and carts.
- Sort and load cargo efficiently.
- Perform ground service functions like connecting/removing ground power and water services.
- Assist with aircraft push back, wing walking, and related guide functions.
- Maintain a secure work environment and report security issues.
- HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Work in high-noise environments.
- Lift and push bags weighing up to 70 lbs.
