• Must be able to perform physical labor including, but not limited to, digging ditches or trenches, back filling excavations, and compacting and leveling earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, tampers and rakes.
• Must be a safety conscious individual with the ability to see and hear well, frequently stoop, kneel, and crouch in areas such as ditches and trench boxes as well as lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Loads, unloads, identifies and distributes materials to the appropriate location.
• Sets final trench grades by hand digging or using trenching tools.
• Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials.
• Team oriented and able to work well with and communicate with crew members to include verbal, written or following provided construction plan sets.
• Applicants must have reliable transportation to assigned work site.
• Must be willing to work full days and in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, dust, rain and snow.
