Laborer; Sterling, VA

Overview

Holder Construction is seeking applicants for the position of Laborer for our project located in Sterling, VA.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, stay flexible, and meet tight deadlines.

• Loading/unloading deliveries
• Handling/moving jobsite materials
• Cleaning/preparing work spaces
• Digging
• Assisting safety professionals and carpenters
• Supporting various jobsite operations

• Approximately 1 year of construction experience
• Understanding of safety and general constructability
• Ability to take ownership of tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues
• Agile/mobile, able to stand or walk for long periods
• Physical ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50–100 lbs 75% of the time
• Ability to read/write and see/hear well (with or without correction)
• Must work OSHA-compliant safety environment, outside, and be available for overtime and weekend hours
• Punctuality and promptness required daily
