Role Overview

Dental Hygienist at Community First Dental is a patient‑first position for an experienced dental hygiene professional who excels in clinical excellence and compassionate care. The role is part of a modern, technology‑savvy practice that values education, infection control, and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform professional cleanings, scaling, polishing, and fluoride or sealant application.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post‑treatment instructions.
  • Take and assess digital X‑rays, collaborating with the dentist on planning.
  • Support treatment preparation, follow‑up scheduling, and treatment plan discussion.
  • Maintain clean, organized treatment rooms and accurate patient records in the practice management system.
  • Uphold infection control protocols and comply with OSHA/CDC standards.
  • Continuously learn new techniques and contribute to process improvement.
Qualifications
  • Valid dental hygiene certification (U.S. preferred).
  • Proven experience performing cleanings, scaling, and patient education.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and guide patients toward treatment.
  • Knowledge of digital X‑rays, dental software, sterilization protocols, and charting.
  • Efficient, punctual, and able to manage time effectively while delivering high‑quality patient care.
