Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Industrial Engineer – Level 2 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

• Serve as the on-site industrial engineer for a manufacturing work center
• Maintain oversight, rapport, and direct awareness with all production team member and their activities
• Conduct time studies, develop standard operating procedures, and create staffing models
• Estimate lead times to support program proposals and MRP
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and drive improvements
• Monitor labor and capital resource utilization, developing plans for efficiency and capacity management
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely material and equipment delivery
• Participate in project meetings and execute special studies and projects

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or related STEM field
• Experience with Python, SQL, or MES
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Lean, Six Sigma, or Green Belt certification

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
