OverviewWe are seeking 2 Mechanical Engineers to drive the mechanical integration of advanced sensor systems onto a 4‑seat, rugged vehicle. This role involves designing mounting solutions for all components, optimizing space for mission equipment, and ensuring ruggedness and operational reliability under demanding conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead mechanical design efforts for the project, ensuring all components are properly integrated onto the vehicle platform.
- Select mechanical mounting points for all components on the vehicle, considering human factors, operator ergonomics, maximizing available payload board space, and optional mission equipment rack occupying the rear seating area.
- Collaborate with Prime to incorporate RF interference considerations into mounting location design.
- Design mechanical mounting brackets or apparatus for all components, ensuring components remain below the highest point of the stock vehicle design during transport and RF sensor mast and other components can optionally elevate above the roll cage post‑deployment (variable geometry).
- Integrate cable routing into the design with emphasis on ruggedness and resistance to damage during aggressive vehicle operation and secure and protected cable runs for long‑term durability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in mechanical design for ruggedized or military platforms.
- Expertise in CAD tools (ideally Solid Works) and mechanical integration for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of human factors and space optimization in vehicle design.
- Eligible for U.S. DoD Clearance.
- Experience with Polaris MRZR or similar tactical vehicles.
- Familiarity with RF interference considerations in mechanical design.
- Knowledge of coatings and finishes for military‑grade durability.

Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85.00 - $85.00/hr.
