Senior Electrical Engineer - Datacenters
Join us in Abilene as a Senior Electrical Engineer! Drive design, testing, and innovation for cutting‑edge projects in a dynamic, on‑site role.
About This Vacancy- Develop and review electrical system designs for data centers, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and switch gear.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Serve as the technical lead for electrical engineering aspects of data center projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, controls) to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement Tier‑level design principles (Tier III/Tier IV) for redundancy and uptime.
- Evaluate and optimize electrical infrastructure for scalability and energy efficiency.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve field issues promptly.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and electrical standards throughout project lifecycle.
- Prepare documentation for regulatory approvals and inspections.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in data center design and operations.
- Proven track record in high‑availability electrical systems, UPS, generators, and power distribution.
- Expertise in electrical load calculations, short‑circuit analysis, and arc‑flash studies.
- Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, and monitoring systems for data centers.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical modeling software.
- PE License (Professional Engineer).
- Data Center Design certifications (e.g., Uptime Institute, BICSI).
- W2 full‑time position
