Infrastructure Engineer

This position is contingent upon contract award

The Infrastructure Engineer (IE) works closely with the Sponsor, leadership, P&O Teams, and Mission Partners to identify, understand, and anticipate requirements. The IE designs, builds, and maintains IT infrastructure supporting SYSTEM operations, ensuring systems, services, and networks are well-integrated, secure, and functioning smoothly. The IE automates provisioning and management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.

Knowledge of CSPs (AWS, Google) and platforms (Nutanix), scripting languages (Bash, Python), and programming languages (Go, Rust, Python) is required. Daily tasks include:

• Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure services, core systems, and multi-tenant hybrid cloud environments
• Collaborate with P&O teams, Sponsor, and Mission Partners to design infrastructure architecture to meet mission needs, performance metrics, and service objectives
• Support automation of delivery and streamlining of Dev Ops and mission lifecycle processes
• Design infrastructure systems with a focus on security, performance, cost-optimization, and mission enablement
• Develop framework guidelines, roadmaps, and operationalize system design
• Establish interface controls with Mission Partners/Tenants to align services with expectations and requirements
• Develop policies for security, performance, and risk mitigation
• Support and lead initiatives to improve SYSTEM mission performance and partner experience
