Front Desk Agent - Full Time (AM & PM) Shifts - Holiday Inn Dulles - starting at $17/hour

This full-time position is responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional service. Responsibilities include processing check-ins/outs and assisting guests with reservations and requests in a friendly, professional and timely manner, while following high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction. This is a full-time position with AM & PM availability preferred. Typical days off can vary based on business.
Responsibilities- Guest Service:
Anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly and positive manner. Provides the highest level of service. Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and process special requests. Knowledgeable about the hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services. Works as a team player to meet guests needs and supports other departments as necessary.
Follows the guest service recovery program. - Financial Results and Cost Control:
Uses proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues. Monitors room availability, adheres to booking policies and procedures. Drives sales and revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities. Handles cash and financial transactions per company procedures. Uses equipment properly and follows cost controls to reduce expenses and waste. - Self/Workload Management:
Plans, organizes and prioritizes work to produce the required volume. Adheres to general work rules and department procedures. Attends required department and hotel meetings. - Safety/
Risk Management:
Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state and federal regulations. Follows procedures for guest/team member incidents. Knows hotel emergency procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of prior guest service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting. Excellent verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, customer-focused, and able to perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
