- Guest Service:
Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly, positive, and timely manner. Provide the highest quality service using proper serving techniques and work as a team player to meet guests’ needs. - Serving Duties:
Follow directions from the banquet captain, set up, maintain, and take down banquet rooms, bus trays promptly, and keep banquet areas neat and clean. - Expense Control:
Use banquet collateral and equipment properly and adhere to cost‑control procedures to reduce expenses and waste. - Work Safety:
Maintain a clean and safe work area, follow all health regulations and local liquor laws, and be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures. - Workload Management:
Plan, organize, and prioritize duties to produce the required volume of work. Observe attendance, grooming, and department policies and attend required meetings. - Collaboration:
Assist bartenders and other team members to ensure all guest needs are met and complete duties within or beyond the normal scope of responsibilities. - Side Work:
Complete required side work and take initiative to assist wherever necessary, contributing to the overall guest experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- TIPS or CARE beverage‑service certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification.
- At least one year of previous guest‑service experience.
- Demonstrated exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work in a repetitious and fast‑paced environment.
- Clear oral and written English communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to perform physically demanding responsibilities: walking, standing, carrying, and moving around the property continuously during the shift.
- Preferred:
One or more years of previous serving experience in a banquet environment. - EEO AA M/F/Vet/Disabled.
