We are looking for a Platform Engineer (Senior) to join our visible technical program driving the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) cloud platform that supports collection, management and analysis of digital engineering information in an architecture that provides seamless digital thread and enables tool interoperability, including data structures suitable for AI applications.

This program delivers engineering services for Linux and Windows cloud-based infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, Cloud services, virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflows. Our platform uses a mix of Open Source, Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) software and targets cloud-native constructs.

The environment offers a secure-by-default configuration, implementing an Infrastructure-as-Code approach, and governance policies. We follow a mostly Agile workflow and adhere to Dev Sec Ops  principles. We value fast iteration and a customer-oriented approach while being mindful about security. Responsibilities:
* Provide IT technical services and technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, tools, modeling, external interfaces, and other technical areas

* Complete complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activities

* Deploy and maintain infrastructure in a cloud-based environment

* Manage networking, including ingress/egress for service routing and zero-trust access

* Work with internal engineering resources as well as customer end-users to design and enhance the user interfaces for supported applications, maintaining responsive designs that accommodate challenging technical and functional requirements

* Create and maintain automated unit test cases meeting the required code coverage thresholds

* Support operations functions, including root cause identification, remediation and documentation (e.g., user guides, 'how to' guides, infrastructure diagrams)

* Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments on technical issues including software system troubleshooting and maintenance and to communicate project statuses

* Integrate platform components and operators; implement the deployment and monitoring for these following IaC, CaC and Dev Sec Ops  principles

* Monitor system performance

* Test new features and services and fix bugs

* Develop mature solutions for monitoring and reporting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana and Splunk

* Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for DBs, Servers, and applications using Dev Sec Ops  tools to include Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Foreman, Git Lab, Selenium

* Configure IdAM, Active Directory, LDAP resources

* Prepare technical presentations for government and senior leadership

* Work effectively in a group environment

* Work across infrastructure that contains both Linux and Windows

* Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical, management and customer both written and verbally

* Utilize robust troubleshooting skills

* Instill and apply solid engineering rigor, to include configuration management, testing

* Develop/engineer as part of an Agile scrum team XYZ
#LI-DE1 Required Education, Experience, & Skills We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field is required. Specific skills include the following:
* At a minimum, meet DoDD 8570 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)

* Expertise working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), test automation, automated deployments, and / or Dev Sec Ops  on iterative development projects

* Solid ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor

* Experience architecting and developing software/infrastructure for scalable, secure, and distributed systems on Single- or Multi-cloud environments (prefer AWS, but will consider Azure)

* Strong background in Kubernetes and cloud-native security

* Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases e.g. Postgre
