The Opportunity
CACI has an immediate opening for an Infrastructure/Systems Administrator, supporting a development and test environment, utilizing various operating systems and a multitude of engineering equipment. This position is located in Herndon, VA, and allows for remote flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Provides support for Linux/Unix, Windows, and other embedded operating systems and applications, including connectivity to network identity providers such as Active Directory, NIS, LDAP, etc.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves IT hardware and software infrastructure issues (servers, storage, network, security, etc.), both on-site and remotely, using systems analysis techniques and procedures.
- Provides system administration for assigned on-prem and/or cloud infrastructure, establishing and maintaining security for systems and users.
- Applies security patches and upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.
- Supports new infrastructure projects, helping design and implement processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Maintains configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of related systems administration experience.
- Technical experience in Linux or Windows environments, supporting network infrastructures and virtualization.
- Minimum of one year providing Tier 1 or Tier 2 helpdesk/desktop support.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Experience with remote troubleshooting and assistance.
- Experience with automation tools such as Power Shell, shell scripts, Puppet, Ansible, and/or Cron jobs.
- Ability to assess internal and external customer IT needs and design solutions.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Desired:
- Certifications in Microsoft, Red Hat, Cisco, SNIA, or CompTIA.
- DoD 8570 certification.
- Software development or programming experience.
- Familiarity with government security requirements such as DCID, NISPOM, NIST 800‑171, etc.
- Active security clearance.
Pay Range
The proposed salary range for this position is $75,200–$158,100. CACI offers competitive compensation, benefits, and learning opportunities tailored to support employees nationwide.
