Systems Engineer
Job Overview The Sense & Warn Rapid Deployment Radar Field Service Representative (FSR) – Level III is a senior-level position responsible for the operations, maintenance, and support of rapid deployment radar systems. The role requires technical expertise in inspection, servicing, repair, and deployment of S&W radar systems both domestically and internationally, and may include helping transition capabilities to permanent international sites or redeploying equipment.
Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and administer expeditionary S&W radar systems.
- Inspect, service, and repair S&W systems up to the depot level.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Install, initialize, and operate S&W equipment at domestic and international work locations.
- Assist in transitioning S&W capabilities to permanent international sites or demobilizing and redeploying equipment.
- Provide subject matter expert analysis for program equipment challenges.
- Document and track support calls using ticketing systems.
- Current DoW Secret level clearance and ability to obtain a DoW TOP SECRET clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent military/technical training in radio frequency, electronics, or radar systems.
- Four (4) years of relevant experience performing maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and employment of counter fire target acquisition or ground/air defense radar systems, or similar systems.
- Flexibility to travel overseas as required.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Experience with Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar (LCMR) Systems, SAAB Giraffe 1X, Leonardo Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar, or similar.
- Graduate of a military radar repair course; advanced radar repair courses preferred.
- Proficiency in using ticketing systems to document and track support calls.
- Self‑motivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic communication skills across all levels of an organization.
- Team orientation while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong multitasking and attention to detail in fast‑paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office software, including SharePoint.
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, including high‑threat and austere environments. Candidates must be able to obtain a Class I worldwide medical clearance.
Benefits and CompensationHourly pay range: $33.30 – $37.77, subject to experience, location, and contractual requirements.
