Data Center Network Deployment Technician

Overview

Provides support to the network deployment team including troubleshooting routers and switches and fiber optic cabling.

• Perform hardware and network diagnostics and follow through with physical repair as needed.
• Install equipment and create documentation; participate in an on-call rotation.
• Work independently and with a team; prioritize work, organize tasks, communicate effectively, and react quickly to changing priorities.
• Address complex problems within the Data Center space and contribute to innovative solutions.

• Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to exhibit good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to function well under pressure with multiple priorities.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and computer networking.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Some travel may be required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Advanced understanding of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience Level: 2-3 years minimum.

This is a contract position based out of Sterling, VA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
