Hardware Engineer, Electronics Technician, IT Support
Overview
We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our rapidly expanding team. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation. All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. The role requires strong work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly.
In addition to hardware and network repair, candidates will install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space.
- Perform hardware and network diagnostics and physical repairs in the data center.
- Install equipment, create and maintain documentation, and develop innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with team members and adapt to on-call rotations as needed.
- Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly under pressure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data center issues.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and computer networking.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to function well under pressure with multiple priorities.
- This position has a physical component; candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and may need to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle; some travel may be required.
- Computer hardware troubleshooting and repair; data center breakfix.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- An advanced understanding of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Shifts may be flexible; examples include
- A-Side Days:
Sun, Mon, Tue + every other Wed; A-Side Nights: same days - B-Side Days:
Thu, Fri, Sat + every other Wed; B-Side Nights: same days
Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, VA.
Pay and Benefits- Pay range: $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
