Project Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager, Operations Manager

We are adding a Mechanical Project Manager to the team. In this role, the Mechanical Project Manager provides overall management and direction for mechanical installation and service projects. The manager works closely with project executives, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to build out project needs and meet client expectations.

• Oversee mechanical installation and service projects from initiation to completion.

• Coordinate with project executives, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors.

• Ensure project milestones meet client expectations and quality standards.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

• 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction projects
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC equipment and mechanical installation processes
• Well versed in construction claims prevention and management
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.)
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Familiarity with mechanical drawings and commercial construction projects
• Foundational understanding of building systems
• Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
• Ability to understand and manage job deadlines
• Basic knowledge of electrical and control systems related to the plumbing trade

This position is based at our headquarters in Sterling, VA, with required travel to work sites in the DMV area (up to 30‑40% of the role).

• Base salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year (pay range provided by VMG)
