Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work as part of a team that supports satellite communication (SATCOM) activities, in addition to company-wide systems engineering support. This position is a part of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. Availability for non-scheduled call-ins is required.  The job assignment also requires working a rotating day/night shift schedule, assigned based on the adaptable needs of the team.

**** What You Will Do
*** Operations and maintenance of complex software and hardware systems.
* Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to perform corrective actions.
* Crosstrain in other assigned areas and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team.
* Support test and/or operational activities as necessary.
* Work in elevated heights
* Lift 50 lbs. safely
** Qualifications You Must Have
*** Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
* Experience in SATCOM, IT Systems and/or RF test equipment
* Experience assigning tasks to meet technical objectives
* Experience in problem solving in time-critical situations.
* ** An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
**** Qualifications We Prefer
*** Troubleshooting methodologies for diagnosing system problems.
* Experience training a wide range of learning techniques and styles.
* Proficient use of Windows and Linux platforms.
