Maintenance Technician II

Job Title: Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Sterling, VA

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour

Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Monday – Friday)

Adecco is currently hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician for a 2nd shift opportunity in Sterling, VA. This role is responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance to ensure efficient operation of production machinery and plant facilities.

• Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, and maintain production machines and facility equipment.

• Conduct emergency repairs of production equipment and scheduled maintenance during machine service.

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.

• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make necessary adjustments.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities.

• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

• Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report issues to supervision.

• Support snow removal, salting, and grounds maintenance as needed.

• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with mechanical repairs including drives, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

• Skilled in electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

• Knowledge of low and high-pressure hydraulics and pneumatics.

• Experience with building systems and basic utility repairs.

• Industrial PLC knowledge (desirable).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and security.

• High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.

• Technical college degree in Industrial Technology or related field preferred.
