The organization addresses impaired driving through education initiatives, rehabilitation, victim relief, and prevention programs. Having now already prevented over 15,000 DUI offenses to date, our aim is to reduce drunk driving deaths to zero.

Daytime Volunteer Drivers Needed! Those with Virginia speeding tickets and other offenses normally want to knock out their community service hours without the hassle, while doing something that truly matters. With The Safe Ride Foundation, we make sure you can do both — help impact lives and complete your hours quickly, easily, and in good company.

With Rides for Good
, we help drive our community neighbours toward long-term independence. Every free trip helps someone get to a doctor’s appointment, to work, or even the grocery store — giving low-income families and the elderly the leg up they need to live a fulfilling life.

You’ll volunteer as a daytime community driver for The Safe Ride Foundation’s Rides for Good program — providing free, door-to-door rides for local families, seniors, and individuals in need. You’ll use your own vehicle, you can choose which rides fit your schedule, and make a tangible difference in your community one ride at a time.

Since our inception, the Rides for Good program has already helped provide life‑changing door‑to‑door transportation to over 2,200 Frederick County families. You’ll be part of an award‑winning team that makes an immediate, measurable difference in your community every single day — and we’d love to have you!

📍A Trade‑Off to Keep in Mind Just keep in mind that our rides take place in beautiful Frederick County, Maryland. Believe it or not, the majority of our volunteers are from nearby areas in Virginia, so as long as you don’t mind a short traffic‑free drive to Frederick, we’d love to have you!

You can start driving and earning hours within days — training and onboarding are quick and straightforward.
